Here we are - 9 weeks test week! The first sign students are worried about their grades and the most popular question "What can I do to get my grade up?". The typical response involves starting 9 weeks ago; You know studying! However most of them are in good shape and will have no problems at home this weekend with their report cards.
FFA has gotten off to a busy start. We graduated 17 seniors last year and thus the bulk of our competition experience. Therefore we are starting early training teams for spring competitions. Also we are in full swing of fundraising for this year to afford practice material(s) and cover travel costs.
As you can imagine in Vardaman our biggest is selling sweet potatos at the "Sweet Potato Festival" the first weekend in November. We will move about 750 to 1000 bushels of sweet potatos in one day! I encourage anyone who has not been to the festival before to try to be here November 6th with the many vendors and events that take place on main street.
